NYSSRA Race Registration

NYSSRA Members,

Happy December! We've finally made it to the last month of 2020 and I think we're all a little bit relieved!

Our NYSSRA ski registration went live today - please keep in mind that the Race Administrators are now inputting race information into the system for each race so NOT all races are posted and ready for registration. Over the course of the next few weeks, RAs will continue adding events. If you don't immediately see a race you want to register for, don't panic. It will be up within 2 weeks and registration will continue. Our IT team has shifted gears many times to build this new system around Covid guidelines, health attestations, and new protocols, and we are grateful for their work. There will continue to be slight schedule adjustments and changes along the way. Please continue to be patient as events are added. The season is just around the corner...we can't wait to get started!

Many thanks,

Alicia Farone

NYSSRA Draft Calendar

NYSSRA Development Committees and our NYSSRA Staff have built a race schedule that maintains a strong competitive development track while working within the COVID guidelines and protocols now in place for 2020/2021.

This calendar is subject to change.

At this moment, mountains have committed to the following dates and these dates are tentatively set. Please stay updated with website/emails to get current communications regarding any changes, you do this by maintaining an active NYSSRA membership for your racer.

There will be NO registration access until Dec. 1 2020. After that time, you can sign up athletes and detailed information on event-day protocols will be available (health attestations and COVID related requirements will be necessary to compete).

Please be aware that all U14 and U16/19 drafted competition schedules are listed regionally for U16/19, and within Council for U14.

Message from the Alpine Sports Director

Greetings all! This has been an interesting last 6 months to say the least! NYSSRA Staff, BOD, and all Committees have been working together to address and plan for the upcoming season.

Hope all have had a chance to look at the new website; this is still a work in progress. Much is in the plans for this over the next few months but currently its effectiveness for communication to the entire NYSSRA family covering updates, current COVID information, education, club information, soon-to-be posted schedules and projects along with other membership, and coach spotlights- are a few of the areas to be developed with more depth shortly.

I would like to take this opportunity to go over a few NYSSRA projects on the planning table:
