Andy Minier has moved into the leadership role as NYSSRA U16/18+ Committee Chair. Andy has been involved with ski racing his entire life, as an athlete, Coach, Program Director, Development Committee member, and Parent of a two NYSSRA athletes.
Andy has grown up as a Kissing Bridge athlete and coach. He has been the Program Director for 18 years. He is a graduate of St. Lawrence and currently resides in Eden Town, NY with his family. Andy has competed as an alpine athlete and additionally competed on the Telemark World Cup.
As an athlete Andy enjoyed the complexity of sport as well as competition, as a coach teaching skills along with building a life long passion for skiing, relationships, and friendships! Andy's own coaching philosophy is to put athletes first, and provide development within a fun and supportive environment. Andy also promotes a Club philosophy of blending a program that is inclusive of the coach, athlete, and parent that works towards a balance of all three components.
We at NYSSRA are excited to have Andy at the helm of the 16/18+ Development Committee. In addition to his roles with NYSSRA development, Andy has been a great asset for a number of years supporting and coaching at many NYSSRA projects.
If you see Andy on the hill please introduce yourself and experience the passion and energy this Kissing Bridge Cowboy radiates! Thank you Andy!
