Attention: NYSSRA Coaches

For the upcoming season of 2022-2023, US Ski & Snowboard Sport Education is requiring all coaches to have a Level 100 certification to participate in on-hill US Ski & Snowboard sanctioned events.

Please take note of how much time it will take you to get through prerequisites and your portfolio. You cannot register for the on-snow portion until your prerequisites and portfolio are complete.

Please see below the timeline and additional information. The provided link will lead you to additional information and requirements necessary.

Suggested timeline:

    • USSS/ NYSSRA Membership.  1 week by the time you do your fundamentals, safe sport, avalanche and background check comes through.  1 week is ambitious for most coaches.

    • Portfolio work.  Anywhere from 6 hrs to15 hours online, approximate 2-3 weeks.
